Good post Kenny! This is SOOOO common. MOST of us have something to say about other parents without realizing that parents next to us are judging us as well.

I have seen this so much. Nice that you pointed this out and shared.

I fall victim to the comparisons: to other kids both family and not and between my children (this one did this before/better than another). But overall, I stress not. I take on more of a "it ain't killin' them/ain't hurtin' me" stance. For instance, none of my kids walked before 15 months. Oh, family kids were walking by 9. Pssh. They walked eventually. My 3 yr old still has a pacifier at bed. I started to take it at one but said you know what? It's comforting. If he tries to take it to college I'll put my foot down.

I think comparing is normal and harmless as long as we treat it as such. My mother will likely always do it and think I should measure each child against the other. All I can hope is that she isn't still going the same to my sisters and me.
